A multimodal container terminal was officially opened in Poti

In the city of Poti, with the financial support of "Halyk Bank Georgia," a multimodal container terminal was officially opened. The project was implemented by JSC "Poti TransTerminal," a company jointly established by Kazakh and Georgian partners.

The investment value of the project is 31.5 million USD. In its initial phase, the terminal will have an annual throughput capacity of over 80,000 containers. Additionally, it will simultaneously serve up to 120 railway wagons and employ more than 100 people.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Georgia, Mr. Murzalin Malik Kenesbayevich; representatives of member companies of the Kazakh-Georgian Economic Union; and Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Georgia — Giorgi Jakhutashvili, Levan Baghdavadze, Irakli Kakaladze, Giorgi Abashidze, Gocha Chkhaidze, and Izbastin Temirtai Rimtaevich.
