In celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan, an opening ceremony for the monument of Kazakh thinker and poet-educator Abai Kunanbaev took place in Tbilisi on April 29, 2022. The event was organized within the 11th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan, under the auspices of the Kazakh-Georgian Economic Union and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Georgia. The monument was crafted by the renowned Georgian sculptor Jumber Jikia, and its unveiling represents a significant cultural and diplomatic milestone for both countries. This event underscores the deepening relationship between Georgia and Kazakhstan, and the Kazakh-Georgian Economic Union's role in promoting cultural exchange and economic cooperation.
